October 17th, 2006 - Great Streets Symposium

On October 17, 2006 more than 160 planners, engineers, city managers and elected officials convened at the Great Streets Symposium. The day-long event took place the Newman Education Center in St. Louis, where local and national experts in the fields of urban design, planning, engineering as well as public officials detailed the many benefits of Great Streets. Great Streets not only help make attractive, interesting places but they support local economic development goals and improve quality-of-life by providing transportation choices for the entire population.
